Log In

  1. Click on Log in at the top right corner of the page.
  2. At the Login page, use your Username followed by @norquest.ca. For example, if your username is JDoe420, you would login as follows:
    • Username: JDoe420@norquest.ca
    • Password: Same as your computer login at the college.

Create a Room Booking

  1. In the menu on the left side of your screen. Under Self Service click on Find a Room.

  2. Under Availability choose the amount of time you want to book.
    Duration: 30 minutes up to 2 hours.
    Between: select the hours you wish to search for rooms
  3. Click on Verify Calendar

  4. Select the date of your booking from the calendar. Please remember that you can only book One Week in advance of the room booking.

  5. Below the calendar you will now see an expanded list of the rooms available in the first timeslot. (Click on the - or scroll down to see more timeslots.)
  6. Click on the + beside any timeslot to see the expanded list of available rooms for that timeslot.
  7. Click on the Student Meeting Room you would like to book.

  8. A pop up window will appear to confirm your booking, click Proceed.

  9. Fill in a booking name. This will help other group members to find the booking.

  10. Click Confirm.
  11. Another confirmation window pops up. Click OK.

View\Cancel\Edit Your Student Meeting Room Bookings

In the menu on the left side of your screen. Under Home click on My Bookings.

Cancel Room Booking

  1. To cancel a Student Meeting Room booking click on the Cancel button.

  2. Click yes.

Edit Room Booking

  1. Click on the booking you would like to modify.

  3. Select one of the 3 options and click Proceed

    1. Keep the same room, find a different date or time.
      1. Click Verify Calendar.

      2. Select your date and choose a time slot.
      3. Click Book.

      4. Click Confirm.

      5. Click OK to confirm the booking
      6. Click OK again.
    2. Find a different room, and optionally change date or time.

      3. Select start time.
      4. Select available rooms.
      5. Click Proceed.
      6. Click Confirm.
      7. Click OK.
      8. Click OK.
    3. Keep the same room, date and time, and only change other information.

What is in the Student Meeting Rooms?

There are a total of 16 Student Meeting Rooms which are available in two sizes. There are 6 rooms that hold up to 4 people and 10 that hold up to 6 people. Each of these rooms contains the following:

  • Computer
  • Dry erase markers - see Library staff
  • DVD player available - see Library staff
  • Large Screen
  • White Board

FAQs

Where can I find the Student Meeting Room that I booked?

All of the Student Meeting Rooms are located on the 2nd Floor of the Singhmar Centre for Learning inside of the Learner Centre.

If you are looking for the room number of the Student Meeting Room that you have booked, log in to the Room Booking Portal and click on My Bookings on the left side of your screen. You will see a list of all the bookings you have made including cancelled bookings. The room number will be located in the Requested Room column of the list of bookings.

There doesn't appear to be any Student Meeting Rooms available.

There are a few reasons you might not see Student Meeting Rooms available for the time you have selected. The first is that the rooms may all be full. To check the availability of the Student Meeting Rooms go to the left of your screen and click on Rooms under Calendar Search. Then click on the Calendar View tab. Change to the date you are trying to book by clicking on the little calendar icon above the room listings.

If there appear to be Student Meeting Rooms available at the time you are trying to book, keep the following information in mind:

  1. Duration of the booking must be 2 hours or less.
  2. You can only book a maximum of 2 hours on the same day
  3. You can only book one week in advance

If the rooms are full there are other areas of the Learner Centre that are available for student use. These include:

  • Quiet Study area: This space is a quiet space for individual student work and is located in the North East corner of the Learner Centre
  • Study Carrels: These are located at the back of the Learner Centre
  • Study Tables: These tables can be used for group work and are located along the south side of the Learner Centre.

In addition, there are Study Commons and Student Lounges available throughout the college for student use.
